Starting June 2008, the maximum charge for Vodafone’s monthly data roaming bundle will be lowered to EUR60 per month, which represents a EUR15 price cut of the service. Moreover, the company will increase the amount of data a customer can use to at least 150MB from 100MB in most European markets, according to a press release of the Vodafone group.

This price aims to strengthen Vodafone’s leading position in the industry following its introduction last summer of a daily pricing plan of EUR12.

According to the company’s data, over 16 million customers use its roaming services.
In addition to lowering the cost of its monthly tariff, Vodafone is introducing to key non-EU destinations a variant of its European flat-rate daily tariff worth EUR30 a day for 50 megabyte (MB) of data use.
Vodafone is currently present in 25 countries worldwide and has more than 252.3 million clients.
