Vodafone Romania Ups Internet Access Speed To 7.2 Mbps
Romanian mobile telephony operator Vodafone Romania will launch Tuesday, March 18, a new technology, HSUPA, which will provide high upload speeds for data and will increase the download speed, HSDPA, up to 7.2 Mbps.

The first tests on the functionality of the HSUPA (High-Speed Uplink Packet Access) technology in the Vodafone Romania network took place in 2007, according to a statement issued in November 2007 by the general director of the company Liliana Solomon.
Vodafone launched the HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) technology in 2005.
Vodafone is the second telecommunications operator, after Orange, on the Romanian market, with 8.8 million users at the end of December 2007.
