Def Leppard are an English hard rock band from Sheffield who formed in 1977, became one of the top-selling rock bands throughout the 1980’s largely on the strength of their two albums, ‘Pyromania’ and ‘Hysteria’.

The music of Def Leppard is a mixture of hard rock, album-oriented rock, and heavy metal elements, and has been associated more with the glam metal movement of the 1980s in large part due to their mainstream success and production. However, Def Leppard have expressed dislike of the "pop metal" label.

The band currently includes Joe Elliott – vocals, keyboard, guitar, Phil Collen – guitar, backing vocals, Vivian Campbell – guitar, backing vocals, Rick Savage – bass, keyboard, backing vocals and Rick Allen – drums, backing vocals.

The band’s newest album "Songs from the Sparkle Lounge" will be launched on April 29.
