Romania: 265 new cases of coronavirus. The number of infected persons reaches 5.467

The Strategic Communication Group announced on Friday that 265 new cases of persons confirmed with COVID-19 have been registered in the last 24 hours, the total number of Romanians diagnosed reaching 5.467.

According to the GCS, most cases, 1.529, are in Suceava, followed by Bucharest, 688, and Timiş, 259.

Of the 5.467 cases of people infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus), 729 were declared cured and discharged.

At ATI, at this moment, 183 patients are hospitalized, informs GCS.

At the country level, 55.430 tests have been processed to date.

“On the territory of Romania, 25.226 persons are in institutionalized quarantine. Another 77.317 people are in isolation at home and are under medical supervision”, GCS said.
