Mountain rescue operations in the last 24 hours have taken place in difficult mountain conditions, with snowfall, wind, and a high risk of avalanches in several mountain ranges.

According to the Capital's Police, the accident took place at the intersection of Olteniţa and Giurgiu roads. Two trams on lines 7 and 11 were involved in the accident.

Romania's Transport Ministry drew up regulations setting investigation procedures for railroad and subway accidents and the document is to be approved by the Government.

The amiable solution of traffic accidents resulting in mild damage could become operational on July 1, 2009, when the Insurance Surveillance Committee receives approval from the EU for the form on amiable acknowledgement.
