Romanian President Traian Basescu on Friday passed a law whereby public authorities and institutions, as well as private and state-owned companies and individuals conducting business must allow access and checkups by Antifraud Department officials in their headquarters, vehicles and land.

The Romanian government passed an emergency decree regulating the restructuring process of the country’s Antifraud Department and the Government’s control body to eliminate provisions which the Constitutional Court ruled illegal.
