Romania’s EUR13 billion loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund could come to a halt unless the government is able to legislate fiscal adjustments in time for a new disbursement, RBS analyst Timothy Ash told MEDIAFAX Friday.

Romania may fall under a code red for aviation again, starting Wednesday morning, according to recent information on the status of the plume of volcanic ash, published by the Environment Ministry.

Romania reopened its air space Monday evening and international airports in Targu Mures, Bacau, Iasi, Suceava, Constanta and Tulcea resumed operations, Transport Ministry secretary of state Marin Anton said Monday.

Romania’s Government has decided to close the country’s entire airspace as of Saturday 6 p.m. (local time), until at least Sunday 12 p.m., because of the approaching plume of volcanic ash from Iceland.
