A Wizzair flight which departed from the Georgian city of Kutaisi towards Warsaw performed an emergency landing on Romania’s Otopeni Airport on Thursday, after the company received a threat of a bomb being onboard. Romanian specialized intelligence units have been deployed on site.

Pyrotechnic squads that checked the University Emergency Hospital in Romania’s capital Bucharest, after a man called the 112 emergency number Friday to report there could be a bomb inside the hospital, found nothing suspicious and deemed the threat false.

A bomb threat Saturday evening triggered the evacuation of an international train at Bucharest’s Northern Railway Station, the spokesperson of the passenger division of Romania’s railroad company CFR Calatori, Oana Branzan, told MEDIAFAX Saturday.

The staff and team of Romanian football club Steaua Bucharest was waken up Wednesday night, around 02:00 local time, following a bomb threat at their hotel in Budapest, according to Romanian sports daily ProSport.
