Romanian Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu said he told Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko that the Bystroye canal matter needs to be solved through international law and community regulations, while a “what’s done is done” attitude is unacceptable.

Ukraine’s President Victor Yushchenko said the area of the Bystroye Canal is a sovereign territory where the Ukrainian state is free to unfold a sovereign activity.
