Over 100 employees of Romanian vaccine producer Cantacuzino Institute Thursday staged a spontaneous protest over the Health Ministry's intention to lay off employees after several production departments were closed down.

Romania’s Health Minister Cseke Attila on Friday sacked Radu Iordachel, head of the country’s Cantacuzino Institute, which produces vaccines, over failure to tackle and fix the institute’s production deficiencies.
