Thirty-seven people, including three employees of the auto registry office RAR, three police officers and a riot police officer, have been placed under criminal investigation in case involving illegal registrations of luxury cars, the General Anticorruption Department said in a statement Wednesday.

The local police department in Ilfov county, near capital city Bucharest, said Thursday it received no complaint with respect to the theft of a Mercedes S500 4matic owned by FC Steaua owner Gigi Becali, police sources said.
