The Romanian Financial Guard applied fines amounting to 55,000 lei (about EUR12,000) following a surprise checkup of economic operators in the China Town shopping center, opened tow days ago in Afumati, near capital Bucharest.

Bucharest district 4 mayor Cristian Popescu Piedone on Saturday sacked the heads of the district’s Community Police Department, following a sudden checkup at the police precincts, which revealed over police cars had not been used for over three months.
