Many hotels in Romania might be closed in 2011 because hotel owners no longer have financial resources to sustain loss-making businesses, Tinu Sebesanu, manager of consulting company Trend Hospitality, told MEDIAFAX.

Romania’s largest lender by assets Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR) will close, during November 8-9, the current accounts of private individuals that have been inactive for the past six months and store no money, the bank said Friday.

Bucharest’s international airport “Aurel Vlaicu” Baneasa will be closed between September 29 and October 12 for runway repair works, the airport’s general manager Stefan Mladin told MEDIAFAX Tuesday.
