The Romanian Government will pay about EUR300,000 to recover a gold bracelet, two iron shields and 229 gold and silver coins of Dacian origin, which were illegally taken out of Romania and recovered by German authorities, people familiar with the matter told MEDIAFAX Thursday.

Another two Dacian bracelets from the Romanian cultural patrimony were recovered by Romanian authorities, following investigations performed by police and prosecutors in the file “Dacian Gold.” The bracelets were brought from Germany and will be displayed Friday at the National History Museum.

Romania’s Ministry of Culture plans to include six Dacian fortresses located in Orastiei Mountains, central western region, in a special preservation program meant to eliminate degradation risks, according to a draft ordinance of the ministry.

The Romanian authorities located another ancient gold Dacian bracelet from the 15 bracelets that have been illegally taken out of the country back in 2002 and are close to retrieve it from an undisclosed location in the U.S., Culture Minister Adrian Iorgulescu said Saturday.
