The Romanian Parliament’s economic and social committee approved the draft education law with 20 to eight votes, the Education Ministry said Friday.

The Romanian Government approved in a meeting Monday the country's new education bill, which it will send to Parliament for urgent debates and approval, people close to the matter told MEDIAFAX.

The Romanian Government will urge the Parliament to debate the draft education law with urgency and adopt it by the end of its current session, Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc said Monday, at the beginning of a Government meeting.
