Romania’s four education union federations said Wednesday that unionists will not quit the strike, adding that, starting Monday, teachers will not register marks, calculate school year averages and participate in national exams.

Over 1,500 Romanian education unionists are picketing the headquarters of the Government where they brought a mascot picturing Education Minister Daniel Funeriu dressed as a samurai, while union leaders were invited at the Government for talks.
