Ford confirmed Friday that the temporary suspension of vehicle and engine production at most of its European manufacturing sites is now expected to run at least until May 4.

Over 400 SAPARD projects, estimated at EUR90 million, will still benefit from European Union funds and beneficiaries have until late September 2009 to submit reimbursement applications, Romania’s Payment Agency for Rural Development and Fishing (APDRP), which manages SAPARD funds, said Friday.

The Belgian federal Government could decide, in the meeting held Friday, to extend by another three years the restrictions imposed on Romanian and Bulgarian workers on its labor market, daily De Morgen informed online.

The vote rendered by the Romanian Parliament extending the mandate of the current Court of Accounts leadership was valid and the mandate was extended until September 30, according to a decision issued by the Standing Offices of the two Chambers of Parliament.
