Twelve flights due to take off or land on the international airport in Timisoara, western Romania, Wednesday morning, were delayed by 15 minutes up to nearly three hours, due to heavy fog in the runway area.

Romanian maritime ports in Constanta, southeastern Romania, were closed Saturday morning due to dense fog, which caused minimum visibility for traffic.

Road traffic is slow on Romania’s two highways and several national roads countrywide because of the heavy fog that in some areas lowered visibility to less than 50 meters ahead, the Info-traffic Center within the Romanian Police Department informed Monday evening.

Traffic on Romanian highway Autostrada Soarelui and on several roads in counties Bacau, Neamt, Botosani, Iasi, Cluj, Bihor, Dolj, Arges, Buzau and Ialomita is bulky because of the fog, while on several segments visibility is below 50 meters, according to the Romanian Police.
