Romania will most likely complete its fuel market probe and conclusions in the second half of this year, after talks with the European Commission, people close to the matter told MEDIAFAX.

The Romanian Competition Council’s investigation of the local fuel market should be complete in the first half of the year, and the results will be sent to the European Commission, the authority's president Bogdan Chiritoiu said Tuesday.

Romania's fuel market will mature over a couple of decades although it has the highest growth compared with Slovakia and Hungary, the key-countries of Hungarian oil and gas company MOL, the company's Vice-President for Corporate Communications, Szabolcs Ferencz, said Tuesday.
