Romanian prosecutors indicted Bogdan Marinescu, former manager of the Giulesti maternity in capital Bucharest, nurse Florentina Carstea and three other people, in the case involving a fire in the hospital’s maternity ward, which left six newborn babies dead and five injured.

Bucharest general mayor Sorin Oprescu on Sunday said renovation works at the intensive care unit for premature babies of the Giulesti maternity hospital in Bucharest were finished and the hospital will reopen Monday.
