Romania ranks 68th, down one position from 2007, among the 157 countries included in the classification regarding the degree of economic freedom, which was drawn up by the Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal.

România a coborât în acest an o poziţie, pe locul 68, în clasamentul anual privind libertatea economiei realizat de Fundaţia Heritage şi Wall Street Journal, deşi punctajul obţinut s-a îmbunătăţit uşor, ca urmare a unei evaluări mai favorabile privind piaţa monetară şi climatul de investiţii.
