Romania’s High Council for National Defense (CSAT) approved the Defense Ministry’s proposal to purchase 24 used F16 fighter aircraft, a request which has been sent to the Parliament for debates.

The Romanian Constitutional Court (CC) decided Tuesday that Government Emergency Ordinance 224, enabling Senate speaker Mircea Geoana to become vice-president of the High Council for National Defense, is unconstitutional.
