The European Commission’s interim report on Romania’s justice sector, expected to be released Tuesday, mentions the problems arisen in the justice sector following last year’s protests staged by magistrates and the staff shortage the country is still facing in the legal system.

The trial in which Romanian former ministers Decebal Traian Remes and Ioan Muresan are indicted on corruption charges was suspended and the file was sent to the Constitutional Court, as the High Court of Justice admitted their lawyers’ request to this purpose.
