United Kingdom’s Westhill Development will invest over EUR500 million over the next five years, in real estate projects in Romania, Westhill Romania’s director Andrei Panculescu said Wednesday.

Construction material distributor Zheng Shi International, which also holds the Orient Hyperconstruct store in Romanian commune Voluntari, will invest over EUR200 million in the construction of several residential projects in eastern Bucharest.

US company Emerson opened Tuesday a factory producing electric power generators and gas regulator devices in Industrial Park Tetarom II in Cluj-Napoca city.

Bucharest’s international airport “Henri Coanda” plans to spend over RON6.7 million in February next year on explosive detection equipment, the airport said in a statement.
