Romanian households can obtain higher mortgage loans, as the banks may accept a higher indebtedness degree, after the central bank’s Board decided Thursday to discard the stress tests from mortgage lending regulations.

Romanian bankers will present next week the new household lending norms proposals to the central bank, the president of Romanian Bank Association ARB Radu Gratian Ghetea said Wednesday.
