Romania’s leftist Social Democratic Party, together with centrist Democrat Liberal Party will start negotiations in view of forming a coalition government, social democrat head Mircea Geoana said Monday.

Romanian democrats and liberal democrats decided that the new party would be named the Democratic Liberal Party, under the presidency of Democratic Party president Emil Boc.
