Border police officers in Arad have discovered inside a truck loaded with textile rolls 20 foreign citizens, who were trying to leave the country illegally at the western border.

Romania will receive part of the extra-EU migrants which are currently stuck onboard a humanitarian ship docked in Sicily, after the Italian Government refused to allow them access into the country, according to the country’s prime minister.

Romania’s Foreign Affairs Ministry announced on Tuesday that it offered to take over five migrants from the 248 recently received by Malta and from other 49 stuck on two ships which are currently denied docking in the country and in neighboring Italy.

Romanian migrants own over 1,500 companies and firms in Italy’s city of Milan, which places them first among EU migrants in the city, Italian regional Chamber of Commerce said Thursday, quoted by APcom news agency.
