Romanian Government officials, unionists and employers' representatives reached no consensus on the minimum wage level in 2011 during talks on Tuesday.

The Romanian traffic violation fine point will reach RON54 starting with October 1, thus representing, in accordance with the law, 10% of the gross minimum wage in the country, which will be increased at the same date to RON540 per month, the Romanian Traffic Police announced.

Some 4 million Romanians, representing over 60% of employees, submitted fiscal statements for 2007, declaring minimum wage income, while at least 2.4 million employees, one third of the total, said they lived on the minimal gain of RON390 per month.
