The leader of the Romanian democrat liberal deputies, Mircea Toader, said Monday after a democratic liberal Standing Office meeting that the coalition has discussed and established, in principle, the removal of the monetary guarantee for presidential candidates.

The National Bank of Romania, or BNR, will decide on Wednesday to ease the monetary policy, analysts said, most of them betting on a key rate cut.

Romania’s central bank decided in Thursady board session to raise the key monetary policy rate by 25 basis points to 10.25%, in its seventh consecutive hike since October last year.
