The deputy chairman of Romania’s Senate, Claudiu Manda, said on Monday that there will be no debate on an eventual emergency decree regarding amnesty and pardoning, with the Government to ultimately decide if it will give the decree or not.

The leader of Romania’s ruling Social Democrat Party (PSD) Liviu Dragnea, stated on Wednesday that there is no amnesty and pardoning decree currently discussed within the party, but that he requested a solution for “repairing injustices made in Romania in the last couple of years”.
