Romania will attempt to introduce postal voting, to help Romanians abroad express their political option, and will increase the number of programs meant to strengthen the diaspora's attachment to the home country, President Traian Basescu said Thursday in a meeting with ambassadors of EU states.

The Romanian liberals, in opposition, will propose a draft law on the introduction of postal voting for Romanians abroad, and the creation of a committee for the improvement of election legislation, liberal vice-president Ludovic Orban told MEDIAFAX.
