Romania’s Government will not discuss the IMF-required unitary wage law Monday because it has not yet received a stance form the country’s Economic and Social Council and has postponed its approval for Wednesday, said spokeswoman Ioana Muntean.

This year’s edition of Romanian Fashion Week, organized in the eastern Romanian city of Iasi, was postponed for spring 2010 on lack of funds, organizers said.

The Romanian Government decided, through an emergency ordinance, to postpone the application of the law increasing the pensions for labor groups I and II, promulgated by President Traian Basescu after the normative act was challenged by the Executive in the Constitutional Court.
