Romanian family doctors will resume prescribing compensated medicine and specialist referrals as of Thursday, exactly one week after they stopped, over disagreements regarding the new healthcare frame-contract.

Romanian family doctor associations announced they will no longer prescribe compensated and free medicine as of April 1, because the new frame-contract on healthcare has been approved without their input.
