Romanian unionists with the state-owned railway company CFR will resume talks with transport minister Radu Berceanu in about a week and new protests may take place depending on the result of talks.

Several hundreds railway employees arrived Wednesday morning in Bucharest to attend protests against the Transport Ministry’s planned restructuring program targeting the entire railway system.

Romania's Transport Ministry officials and unionists of the country's railway company CFR meet Tuesday to decide whether to pension off certain employees who meet all conditions in this respect and to analyze the impact of this measure on the company’s activity.
