Romania’s leading oil company OMV Petrom (SNP.RO) has requested the state issue refund payments of 91.68 million lei (EUR22.5 million) for environment decontamination works at some of its decommissioned wells, the company said in its financial report for 2010.

Romanian debt collecting companies recovered debts worth EUR264 million in 2009, mostly from individuals, and they represent 24% of a total EUR1.1 billion to be recovered, Association of Commercial Debt Management (AMCC) said Thursday.
