Romania’s Economy, Commerce and Business Environment Minister Adriean Videanu on Saturday said the economic data registered in the past four months indicate that "Romania's economy will resume growth in the upcoming months."

The Romanian constructions market, which currently faces a severe decline, will not revive sooner than in May-June 2010, according to Claudiu Georgescu, head of the Association of Construction Material Producers in Romania, or APMCR.

Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc said Saturday in northwestern city of Cluj-Napoca, at the launch of democrat liberal candidates for EP elections, that the government managed to curb the effects of the economic crisis, adding "Romania’s economy is likely to revive in the second and third quarters."
