Romania’s sole nuclear power plant in Cernavoda operates n good safety conditions for both the environment and people, and all spare parts have been bought according to law requirements, the plant’s representatives said Wednesday.

Romanian prime minister Emil Boc said Sunday, referring to the armed robberies in Romanian cities Cluj and Brasov, that the safety of citizens has become a top level priority for the government.

Romanian Premier Calin Popescu Tariceanu, alongside Interior Minister Cristian David on Thursday agreed on several measures to increase passengers’ safety inside public transportation vehicles, following the stabbing of two pupils in a bus in Bucharest on Wednesday, ministry sources said.
