Interim Romanian President Ilie Bolojan met with US lawmakers in Bucharest to discuss the Romania–US strategic partnership and visa policies, marking the first official American visit to Romania since the Trump administration began.

The chairman of Romania’s Senate, Calin Popescu Tariceanu, will lead an official delegation in a state visit to Seoul during November 12-17, marking the 10-year anniversary of the Strategic Partnership signed between the two countries.

Romania is counting on Germany’s support within the EU and wants to sign a strategic partnership with Germany, Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc said in the beginning of a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
