Italian police officers said Romanian police officers pressured the two suspects arrested for the rape of a teenage girl, who said they are innocent.

Romanian citizen Alexandru Loyos Isztoika, arrested in Rome for raping a teenage girl, said he was forced by investigators to admit guilt, and he withdrew his initial statement.

One 14 year-old teenager in a southeastern Romanian commune ended up in the hospital, Tuesday night, after being shot by the police as he was trying to flee the scene of a botched robbery at an old woman’s home.
