Chinese company Hoyo started the production of tractors at the plant in Rasnov, central Romania, and the first tractor output will be ready mid-July, Rasnov plant representative Denisa Vasilescu told MEDIAFAX Monday.

Romanian president Traian Basescu said Friday the country’s privatization authority AVAS was hasty in deciding to shut down tractor maker Tractorul Brasov, adding a government program helping farmers buy tractors would have helped the country’s agriculture sector.
