In Romanian, the gross minimum wage, taken as reference in the unitary wage law in the public sector, will rise in 2010 from RON600 (EUR1=RON4.2236) to RON705 and will continue to increase until 2015, to RON1,100.

The Romanian public sector unitary wage law and the pension system law cannot be enacted unless the Government takes responsibility, as "they will rock the foundations of the public system", while the Government will "enact them or step down", said Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc.
