Romanian unionists in the public sector threatened to sue the Government if the employees in the sector are forced to take ten days off without pay.

The leaders of Romania’s governing coalition decided that last year’s unpaid bills worth 1,200 billion lei (EUR1=RON4.2314) belonging to the Education Ministry will not be paid from the 2009 budget, and will be included in last year’s budget deficit, people close to the matter told MEDIAFAX.
