Romania's Senate on Wednesday approved a bill setting a new formula for the calculation of the car tax, which takes into account the vehicle's value according to brand, type and engine.

Several people attacked a vehicle carrying valuables, Tuesday morning, in an isolated area in the Gutai mountain pass, northern Romania, stole the guns of the people securing the transport and managed to make off with reportedly 100,000 lei in cash (EUR1=RON4.2747).
