The new ash plume from the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjöll will exit Romanian airspace Tuesday, Romania’s Environment Ministry said, citing the latest forecast of the London Volcanic Ash Advisory.

A second volcanic ash plume entered Romanian territory Wednesday morning but at an altitude that doesn’t affect air traffic or air quality, authorities said.

Romanian airliners have canceled over 30 flights coming from and heading for destinations across Europe because of the ash cloud caused by a volcanic eruption Thursday in Iceland.
