Romanian organized crime prosecutors found five AKM machine guns and ten pistols, stolen from the Romanian military base Ciorogarla, near Bucharest, in March 2009, hidden at Eugen Preda’s grandparents’ home, prosecutors said in a press release Thursday.

Romanian Defense Minister Mihai Stanisoara on Tuesday said the weapon heist at a military base and leaks of classified information at another are indicative of lack of discipline and firmness of commanders, as well as of superficially conducted controls.
