In a press release, ANAR specialists said their calculations, based on data transmitted by Hungarian officials, indicate the quality of Danube's water will be within admissible parameters. Starting Sunday, tests will also measure "general physical and chemical indicators" and traces of heavy metals.
The toxic sludge spilled into the Danube on Thursday and, according to forecasts, is four days away from entering Romania at Bazias.
