More than 2,100 people in Romanian western county of Timis will lose their jobs over the next three months, in the fallout of the international financial crisis, officials with the county employment agency said Monday.

Most of the layoffs will be operated in constructions, textiles, the light and food industries, transportation and automotive, said Stefan Erdely, director of the Timis County Employment Agency.
Erdely said companies in the county will operate 2,109 job cuts due to lack of orders.
