Romania’s Ministry of Environment on Sunday issued a high-risk avalanche warning (orange code) in the Fagaras and Bucegi mountains, central Romania, for heights above 1,800 meters.

The ministry said high temperatures caused snow melting, while high humidity may cause spontaneous avalanches on slopes in the Fagaras and Bucegi mountains, at heights above 1,800 meters.
 
The ministry also issued a medium-risk avalanche warning for heights between 1,600 - 1,800 meters on slopes.
