Hints Of Upcoming Flood On Romanian River Prut

The water level on Romanian river Prut went beyond the flood level Saturday in Galati county, according to data from the Galati prefect office. The authorities added the rover has not yet overflowed, and the dams were heightened in danger areas.

"The drift travels at higher speeds in Galati county and water levels rose by some 50 centimeters in the past 24 hours. In hydrology station Oancea the flood marker passed by 24 centimeters, the height registered at 14.00 local time reaching 574 centimeters. At the same time, the river flowed with 452 cubic meters per second. The hydrology code orange is currently active," said a press release issued by the Galati Prefecture.
