Romanian hydrologists issued a code red flood alert on the Prut river, eastern Romania, valid from Saturday afternoon until Monday at 4 p.m..

The flood alert is valid for the Radauti-Prut-Stanca Costesti river sectors in northeastern county of Botosani, and on the Stanca-Dunare sector in Botosani, Iasi, Vaslui and southeastern county of Galati.

Hydrologists also issued a code orange flood advisory on the Prut until Sunday, and a code yellow flood advisory for the Crasna river, northern Romania, the northeastern Jijia river and the southeastern Casimcea-Cheia rivers in Constanta.
